SUNY-Binghamton seeks Asst. Prof. for Chinese pedagogy

The Department of German, Russian and East Asian Languages at
Binghamton University, S.U.N.Y., is inviting applications for a
tenure-track assistant professorship in Chinese language pedagogy,
beginning fall 2008.  Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in Chinese
language pedagogy, applied linguistics, or related field at the time
of appointment.  Duties include teaching undergraduate Chinese
language courses at all levels and courses in the candidate’s area of
specialization.  Experience in program development is also
desirable.  Applications should include a cover letter, c.v.,
statement of teaching philosophy, 3 letters of recommendation, short
teaching demonstration on DVD, syllabi, and sample publication (if
any).  Application packages and letters of recommendation should be
