The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures, Georgetown
University, seeks applications for a one-year full-time position in
Chinese language beginning Fall, 2008, with the possibility of renewal
for one additional year. This is a teaching intensive non-tenure-track
position. Candidates are expected to have a graduate degree in Chinese
language pedagogy or Chinese studies and prior college-level teaching
experience in North America; also native or near native proficiency
Chinese to teach introductory, intermediate and advanced level language
courses. Duties include active involvement in teamwork and program
affairs, such as conducting proficiency examinations for Georgetown
