The
Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations at Harvard
University invites applications for full-time Preceptor positions in
the Chinese Language Program, beginning September 1, 2008.  Preceptors
must be able to teach all levels of modern Chinese.  Candidates must
have exemplary ability in comprehension and active use of modern
standard Chinese, written and spoken, at native or near-native level,
as well as several years experience teaching modern Chinese at the
college level in the United States.  Preference will be given to
applicants with an M.A. degree or higher in Chinese Linguistics,
Foreign Language Education, or a closely related field.  Experience in
computer-assisted language teaching is a plus.  The position is
annually renewable to a maximum of eight years and salary is set by
scale.
