Half-time lecturer position at Bowdoin College, Brunswick, ME

The Asian Studies Program of Bowdoin
College invites applications for a one-year, half-time lecturer
position in Chinese Language beginning Fall, 2009. Applicants should
have an M.A. in language pedagogy, applied linguistics, or related
areas in Chinese studies. We seek a native speaker of Mandarin with
fluency in English as well as excellent teaching experience (especially
experience teaching first-year Chinese) at the college level. Primary
responsibilities include teaching one language course as well as
participating in weekly Chinese language tables and supporting the
language program by meeting with students individually, preparing
supplementary materials, and correcting homework and quizzes.
