Fitchburg State University, Humanities Department invites applications for a lecturer in Chinese language and culture to teach two Mandarin language courses (one introductory, and second semester level) starting January 18th, 2012.

The Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations at Harvard University anticipates one or more openings for a full-time Drill Instructor/Teaching Assistant in Chinese beginning August 1, 2012 through July 31, 2013. Drill instructors assist course heads in Chinese language classes, assist in preparation of teaching materials, and teach individual drill sections. Candidates must have native or near-native fluency in Chinese. A bachelor's degree is required; teaching experience in Chinese at the college level is strongly desired; computer literacy is required.

SPECIFIC SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Wellesley High School seeks a full-time Mandarin Chinese teacher for the 2011-2012 school year. Classes meet 5 out of every 7 days for 1 hour. S/he will be responsible for the entire high school Chinese program (years 1-4). The curriculum is formed around Cheng & Tsui's Integrated Chinese series (simplified, Level 1 Part 1 through Level 2 Part 2), and rubrics are used to assess student work. Students come from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
